Center is located in Pinedale, Wyoming at the base of the beautiful Wind
River Mountains. We are close to outdoor recreation, wildlife viewing,
and the relax paced life of western Wyoming. Our wildlife visitors, such
as deer and moose are frequently seen from the windows here at the Center.
We have beautiful Fremont and Half Moon Lakes just minutes from town. The spectacular scenery of this country is easily accessible by car. Skyline Drive is a 26 mile scenic loop with beautiful views of the area's lakes and forest and ends at Elkhart Park, gateway to the Bridger Wilderness and Fremont Peak. Views of the Wind River Mountains, Fremont Lake and Half Moon Lake can be seen from the overlooks on this drive. The community provides many opportunities to attend several artistic performances throughout the year including many brought in by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council. Fishing in the many rivers, lakes and streams, and golfing at the Rendezvous Meadows Golf Course, are also popular activities. The rich history of this area is celebrated at the annual Green River Rendezvous pageant and the Museum of the Mountain Man with its many displays portraying the lives of the Plains Indians, mountain men, outlaws and ranchers that populated this land in the past. Pinedale is a small town of 1,500 residents. It is a safe community with a low crime rate and a place where neighbors still look out for one another's welfare. |
